Network Services in Lawrenceville, GA: Structured, Secure, and Business-Ready

Lawrenceville businesses operate in one of the fastest-growing corridors in Gwinnett County, and a poorly designed network is not a minor inconvenience. It is a direct threat to uptime, data security, and regulatory standing. COMNEXIA has engineered and managed business networks from our Roswell, GA headquarters since 1991, and we bring that 35-year track record to Lawrenceville companies that need infrastructure they can depend on without guessing what is underneath it.

What "Network" Actually Means for a Lawrenceville Business

Network services cover the physical and logical systems that move data inside your building and out to the internet: structured cabling, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and the segmentation rules that control what traffic goes where. For most local businesses, the failure point is not the internet circuit itself. It is the misconfigured or consumer-grade equipment sitting between that circuit and every device your employees and customers use. COMNEXIA replaces that guesswork with documented, auditable infrastructure built on commercial-grade platforms.

Firewalls and Perimeter Security

Every network COMNEXIA deploys or manages is protected by a next-generation firewall. We work primarily with Fortinet FortiGate and SonicWall appliances, both of which support deep packet inspection, application-layer filtering, and intrusion prevention that a basic router cannot perform. FortiGate policies, for example, can restrict traffic by application category, block command-and-control callbacks from compromised endpoints, and log session data that satisfies audit requirements. Configuration is documented in writing so that any engineer, not just the one who built it, can support or audit the environment.

Business Wi-Fi: Ubiquiti UniFi and Cisco Meraki

Consumer access points drop connections under load, broadcast a single flat network, and offer no central management. COMNEXIA deploys Ubiquiti UniFi or Cisco Meraki wireless infrastructure depending on site complexity and management requirements. Both platforms support multiple SSIDs mapped to separate VLANs, meaning your guest Wi-Fi, employee devices, and any IP-connected equipment (cameras, HVAC controls, printers) run on isolated network segments. Meraki's cloud dashboard provides per-client traffic visibility and centrally enforced policies across multiple Lawrenceville locations from a single pane of glass.

VLAN Segmentation: Why Flat Networks Fail

A flat network means every device can reach every other device. One compromised workstation can scan and pivot to your server, your point-of-sale terminal, or your document management system. COMNEXIA designs VLAN topologies that enforce least-privilege network access at the switch level. VLANs are assigned by port or by authenticated identity, and inter-VLAN routing rules are enforced on the FortiGate or SonicWall firewall rather than on an unmanaged switch that anyone can reconfigure.

VPN and Zero Trust Remote Access

Remote employees and vendors need access to internal resources without opening broad holes in the firewall. COMNEXIA configures site-to-site and client VPN tunnels on FortiGate or SonicWall, and for organizations moving toward a Zero Trust posture, we implement ZTNA controls that authenticate the user identity and the device health state before granting access to any specific application. This replaces the traditional "on the VPN means on the network" model with per-application access policies that can be revoked instantly.

Auto Dealerships in Lawrenceville: Network Compliance Is Not Optional

Gwinnett County has a significant auto retail presence, and dealerships running CDK Global, Reynolds and Reynolds, or Dealertrack DMS platforms have specific network requirements that go beyond basic connectivity. The FTC Safeguards Rule (16 CFR Part 314), which applies to automotive dealers as financial institutions under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, requires network segmentation, encrypted transmission of customer financial data, continuous monitoring, and documented access controls. COMNEXIA builds dealership networks with dedicated DMS VLANs, firewall rules that restrict DMS traffic to authorized workstations only, and logging that supports the annual risk assessment the Safeguards Rule mandates. We have direct experience with the network-level requirements of CDK and Reynolds environments.

Structured Cabling and Physical Infrastructure

Wireless performance depends on wired infrastructure. COMNEXIA manages structured cabling projects including Cat6 and Cat6A runs, proper patch panel termination, and switch closet organization that supports future changes without a complete re-pull. We document port-to-device mapping so that adds, moves, and changes are tracked, not improvised.

Ongoing Network Management with NinjaOne RMM

After deployment, COMNEXIA monitors managed network devices through NinjaOne, which alerts our team to device outages, firmware update availability, and configuration drift before those issues reach your employees. Patch management for network appliances is scheduled and documented. Monthly reporting shows uptime, policy changes, and any security events flagged by the firewall, giving Lawrenceville business owners a written record rather than a verbal assurance.

Get a Network Assessment for Your Lawrenceville Business

If your current network has no documented VLAN design, runs end-of-life firewall firmware, or mixes guest and employee traffic on a single SSID, those are specific, fixable problems. COMNEXIA will assess your existing infrastructure, identify the gaps, and provide a remediation plan with named equipment and configuration steps.
